Prep to Year 12 News

Full House

This year, MCS has updated and rebadged our houses. We now have:

• Lions (yellow),

• Eagles (blue),

• Rams (green) and

• Brumbies (red).

As we continuously strive to develop our school culture, MCS sees this as an opportunity to actively craft an environment where students are encouraged to value community, build wide-reaching relationship networks and create meaningful support structures across our school community.

There will be two main themes used to facilitate this goal:

1. Competition - Recognising that for many students competition is a wonderful motivator which provides the opportunity for individuals to strive for greatness and work toward a common goal.

2. Connection - Providing students with the opportunity to develop a sense of identity and belonging through participation and social interactions.

So far this year we have already been tallying points at a swimming carnival and at school. Students have been awarded points based on their results in competitions, teamwork, and willingness to assist or volunteer.
