The Rhythmworks group visited our Prep-Year 8 students this week and demonstrated how instruments and music can be combined to communicate a story. Pitch, tone colour (how an instrument sounds), rhythm and harmony were all covered in the interactive presentation. Our students really enjoyed seeing the instruments in action. It was hard to ascertain whether the vibraphone, boomwhackers or chameleon suits were the highlight of the show. We even heard a violin bow playing a vibraphone! Not sure what I’m talking about? Check out the photos below.
Frozen Parent Helpers Afternoon Tea Thursday 15 September
This is a final shout out to all our parent helpers that in anyway assisted with the musical - whether it was creating props, costumes, assisting in classrooms, applying facepaint or makeup, assisting in carparks, or anything else in between. Please RSVP to join us for afternoon tea in the staff room at 2:15pm on Thursday 15th September. Please RSVP to lyndalblatch@acc.edu.au for catering purposes.
Choir - Last Chance to Join
Thursday the 15th September is the last opportunity for students to join choir for 2022. We have so many eager voices joining again to sing together preparing songs and Christmas Carols. Choir is open to any student from Year 2 and beyond. If your child is interested in committing to weekly rehearsals for the remainder of the year, please get them to head to the Music Room Thursdays Break 2, after eating time.
