In this week's music news, find out about our in-school music incursion with Rhythmworks, our school choir and our Frozen parents helpers morning tea.
MusicaViva Tuesday 6 September

Rhythmworks will be visiting MCS on Tuesday 6th September with a live music performance. Please return your child's permission slip on Monday morning, 5 September, if you haven't already done so.
Students have been studying the musical compositions Chameleon, Liffey Falls and Road Train in preparation for their visit. These are programmatic pieces which depict the content topic through music. Students have had the opportunity to experience and explore the music in multiple ways through movement, listening and singing activities. We are looking forward to the concert.
Frozen Parent Helpers Morning Tea - Thursday 15 September
We would love to extend an invitation to all our parent helpers that in anyway assisted with the musical - whether it was creating props, costumes, assisting in classrooms, applying facepaint or makeup, assisting in carparks, or anything else in between. Please join us for afternoon tea in the staff room at 2:15pm on Thursday 15th September. Please RSVP to lyndalblatch@acc.edu.au for catering purposes.
Choir
Our choir recommenced yesterday with many eager voices joining again to sing together. We will be preparing songs for Christmas Carols for the remainder of the year. Choir is open to any student from Year 2 and beyond. If your child is interested in committing to weekly rehearsals for the remainder of the year, please get them to head to the Music Room Thursdays Break 2, after eating time.
