Holiday Reading Challenge

As we look forward to the holidays, we are offering all students an opportunity to participate in a Three Week Reading Challenge. The Challenge is designed to be a way for our students to engage with books and reading while they have extra time available to them.

In addition, the students are able to earn points for their School House: Lions, Rams, Brumbies and Eagles. Each task on the Three Week Reading Challenge, that is completed by a student and verified by a parent or caregiver's signature, will earn ten (10) points towards the tally of their House. Each student who completes the whole challenge will gain 180 points for their House. There will be a bonus twenty (20) points for any student who submits a photograph of themself completing one (1) of the tasks.

Every student will receive a copy of the Three Week Reading Challenge this week and we encourage as many as possible to take part during the holidays. The School Library is open every day at second break and ready to help students of all ages to find some great books to read.

Completed Three Week Reading Challenge forms are to be returned to Primary Class Teachers, Secondary Care Group teachers or to the library by Tuesday, 25 July.

So relax, read and remember to check off the tasks on the Three Week Reading Challenge while having a safe and happy holiday!

Kind regards,

ree
