Lost Books and Overdue Loans:

The year is winding down and it is time for the books to come home. This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the library. All books borrowed from the school library need to be returned by the end of week 8. After this time an invoice will be sent detailing the cost of replacing any outstanding books.

In the following weeks I will be sending home overdue notices, letting you know if there are any outstanding books on your child’s account. Before handing out overdue notices, I check the library to make sure the book is not on the shelves, but if you disagree with the account given to you please let me know.

During the year I have received a number of our library books which have been accidentally returned to public libraries. While these librarians have been kind enough to make sure the books make it back to the school, this is not guaranteed to happen every time. If you and your child also borrow from your local public library, please be careful when returning books.
